So, I thought, "Where would I get the best view in Toronto of all the lights being switched off for Earth Hour at 8pm on Saturday March 29th (apart from going up in a helicopter :) )?" The Toronto Islands, of course. It was a beautiful evening but a little too bright (because of Daylight Saving) to see the full effect but you couldn't certainly see later that the glow the Toronto night sky usually has, was not there - and I saw some stars: a real rarity!

Wow, that's a lovely photo!! I can't believe that the water is so flat and that everything look almost deserted. From a nerds point-of-view, I'd have to say that the scene shares many similarities with what I would expect to see at Atlantis- of the Stargate series with the same name.

What, no-one else knows what I'm talking about?
