* Today included some quirky and classic winter moments. What I though was quirky is apparently the norm here - barbequeing throughout the winter. Mike very kindly went outside to BBQ our steaks for dinner - while it was snowing! Well it wasn't very heavy snow but I still found that pretty unusual (but they tasted fantastic - thanks Mike!).

This next pic is for all you gingerbread house makers. The light dusting of snow reminded me of your beautiful icing sugar artworks on the gingerbread houses.

And then Mike and I (while Katie had to do some PhD work) went ice skating. Outside! At night! While it was snowing! (The latter 3 things being firsts for me). Thanks for the skates, Katie! Brrrgh!!!

Give me Palm Beach any day....

That one footed skating looks a bit crazy!

Nice pictures. Makes me want a warm fireplace and a block of cadburys.

Oh the snow pics are so refreshing. I felt quite cool for the minute of video you put up. (It's about 34 degrees here in Sydney)

Hey Thomas - I'd love to have a go at the one foot skating! You'd need to do a bit too if you're going to cuddle up with all that chocolate. Hey, what's the chocolate like over there Bec? (It wasn't so good in Davis.)
